This week I wasn't sure what to get, but having great gifts for Mother's Day and upcoming Birthdays seemed like the best idea! First I saw the coupon for $10 off a $20 The Body Shop purchase so I started browsing their deals online to see what scenario I could come up with to save the most. Using the $10 off $20 coupon code plus additional deals that they had on the website I was able to get SIX items for 1/2 the price of ONE! I spent $19.95 shipped there ($14.00 for the products and $5.95 for shipping) - regular price for the products would have been $114! Then I scoped out the deals at Szul.com as they have some gorgeous jewelry pieces and Brad's Deals promotes them regularly. I was able to get two gorgeous items there, an Amethyst ring regular price of $289 for just $33.40! Finally I got a pair of Aquamarine Stud earrings, regular price of $179 -- marked down to just $19.75! As I still had a couple of dollars left, I head over to Kohls.com as they had 20% off + FREE shipping! I found these Tek Gear Beanies, that are normally $14 each, marked down to just $1.40 a piece, the 20% off brought it down to just $2.24 for both! Shipping was free. I love buying off-season! :) In all I spent $75.34 (including $5.95 shipping) on $610 worth of items! That is a savings of $534.66!

I had fun shopping this week, primarily because I was able to fill up my gift closet and at the same time get something I love for myself. First, I am a big fan of Audio books. I often pick them up for free at the library, but this time I was able to download my most recent read - Hunger Games Book 2 - to my iTunes account and listen to it on my iPhone. This freebie came with the one month trial of Audible and a free book download. Second, I picked up some Father's Day Presents and gifts for female relatives (probably for Christmas) from Sears. So many items were reduced to $3.99! I also got two Cashmere sweaters, that retail for $134, for only $7.48 each at Lord and Taylor! I will keep one for myself and gift the other. I love shopping when discount codes and sales are occurring, especially in the clearance section. It is the best place to shop off season. Including $5.95 for shipping, I spent $65.30 in items that retail $928.92 - a 93% savings!

My goal for this week was to get great deals, but also to snag totally free shipping! I found a beautiful 8mm Tungsten wedding band for my husband at Amazon. We're not newlyweds, but at this price I couldn't resist getting him a spare just in case. Hey, it happens! A few years ago he came home all upset because he'd lost his wedding band. He hesitated and didn't want to tell me. When he finally broke the news, I just smiled and handed him another ring just like it. Believe it or not, it had just come in the mail that day! Next, I found three Mother's day gifts for three of my favorite ladies, who are sure to love their God Crystal Heart necklaces, also from Amazon. I have a niece who loves turtles, so the turtle-shaped freshwater pearl earrings from SuperJeweler will make a great gift. And since pearls are always in style, I'm adding the Swarovski and pearl studs to my gift stash. And last but not least - I think I'm making a breakthrough on this round: I bought something for me! I don't do that very often, but when I saw this yummy green tea peacoat at Kohl's with free shipping and a 20% off code, I just had to get it!!
