Wow -- semi-finals!! I cannot tell you enough how honored I am to be participating with all of these excellent bloggers and each round has definitely gotten more difficult -- thank you to everyone that has been voting for me!
This week I had two things to tackle:
A) The kids need more clothes, they are growing so fast that I swear I have to get new clothes every couple months. B) Business! I needed more business cards and goodies to hand out to promote Wheel n Deal Mama.
My savings was not quite as extreme this week but I wanted to make sure that I was getting items that we actually NEED and are everyday things that people need to buy.
For the kids I stopped by Totsy as they have some great items marked way down AND, if you spend $65, you can get $15 off using the promo code VIPMOM. I got 6 items, totaling $66.60, I applied the promo code VIPMOM dropping my total to just $51.60. Shipping was $7.95. Retail for all of the items was $202 and I paid $51.60 plus shipping.
Next I shopped at Kohls.com to pick up a few more items using the 20% off and free shipping. I snagged 4 items for the kids and a Scene it? Game as a gift for just $34.07 shipped. Retail was $113.99.
Vistaprint is offering several items for FREE right now you just have to pay shipping and this is perfect for me to get some items that I needed for the blog. I snagged 250 business cards, a pen, sticky notes and a car magnet for FREE!! Shipping was $6.25.
Finally I saw Ashley took advantage of the free Audible membership last week and that was a perfect idea for me as I am about to have a 12 hour drive and an Audible book is awesome to pass the time on the road. I signed up for the membership with NO out of pocket cost -- the one month trial being worth $14.99 and the book $27.99!
In all, including shipping I spent: $85.67 on product and $14.20 on shipping. Retail cost was $384.93.

This summer is going to be legendary, so I splurged on a new summer wardrobe, swimsuits and diamonds! My family will be spending time at my Great Grandmother's lake cabin, which we were able to bring back into the family after many years. I've never felt so blessed, nor can I tell you how absolutely incredible it is to have the chance to reminisce about all the fun we had there as kids. Such amazing memories! It's no secret she was my favorite. (I even named my daughter after her!) And just being there makes me feel close to her. To prepare, I made my shopping all about summertime. My summer wardrobe is in serious need of an overhaul, so for my first deal I snagged some sizzling hot savings on summer clothes at Monterey Bay. They have an extra 75% off clearance prices and free shipping! For those cool evenings on the lake, I snagged a $90 Henley sweater for only $11, and an $80 jacket for just $5! I also got a pair of khaki shorts and 3/4 length pants that will fit right in for fishing season. The two button-down casual shirts will mix and match with both to create four different looks! Lands End has an extra 30% off everything, and I found swimsuit coordinates that are sure to heat up the beach! Then I headed to the Earth Day sale at Newport News where I scored another bathing suit and a full-length tube top for 50% off clearance prices! Plus, shipping is free! My birthstone is diamonds (and so was my Great Grandma's...today was her birthday!) Who doesn't love a gorgeous pair of earrings to complete an outfit? I sure do! I saved a whopping 92% off on the amethyst and diamond earrings at Szul with free shipping!
