Budget was $100 again this week so I went for seeing how much I could save on items that I would use or needed, here is how I did: With the summer months rapidly approaching and two little kids who LOVE to play outside I figured I would take advantage of this awesome deal for a $193 Sunscreen kit from Sephora for just $30! I also got their three free samples + a deluxe Peter Roth Sample as I made a $25+ purchase! Shipping was $5. I then snagged a fun Mother's Day gift item from Szul.com, a pretty necklace and bracelet set that is normally $279 for just $29 shipped! On No More Rack, they had a great Under $10 sale going on where I was able to snag a pretty pair of $99 Sterling Silver earrings for just $8 + $2 shipping! Next I snagged 2 sets of 3 stylus that work for the iPad and iPhone that are regularly $30.99 for just $2.20 each at Amazon! Free shipping. I also needed a couple of HDMI Cables which can be pricey but I found them on Amazon for just $3.67 each --- regularly $74.99 each!! Lastly, my kids play with my iPad a lot more than I use it and I need something sturdy to protect it. Otterbox is one of the best from what I have heard, regularly $84.95 --- I got an Otterbox case for just $13.95 + free shipping with my Prime. In all I spend $92.69 + $7 on shipping for $867.91 worth of items. (Read more about Laura's deals)

I'd like to extend a big congratulations to Laura for outlasting fifteen other competitors to win our tournament! I am honored to be competing against you for this final round. This past year, my wife, Jen, and I were blessed by the birth of our daughter, Evelyn. Since it's Jen's first Mother's Day, I wanted to make this day extra special by putting together a collection of Mother's Day gifts. Nothing says Mother's Day like a bouquet of flowers, and the florists know it. The price of roses skyrockets, and florists jack up delivery costs for the holiday. However, I was able to order a Mom's Delight bouquet and chocolates bundle from ProFlowers, originally priced at $59.99, for just $24.99. First, I bought a $15 for $30 at ProFlowers deal from Living Social, then took advantage of a 30% off promo. Though I still paid $14.99 for shipping, I saved $35 on this classic Mother's Day gift. Jewelry is another classic Mother's Day gift, and I found this 100" Grey Pearl and Faceted Onyx Strand Necklace for just $19 at Jewelry.com, marked down from $162.98. While this necklace is great for dressing up, a casual personalized "I ♥ Mommy" t-shirt from Vistaprint makes a sweet gift from Evelyn to her Mommy, and the price tag of "free" (plus $5.52 shipping) makes it that much sweeter. We've taken countless photos of our daughter in her first year. Shutterfly makes it easy to display all of our favorites with a 20 page photo book, free with $8 shipping, and 50 free photo prints when you sign up for a free Shutterfly account. Of course, those photos need frames, and a 3-pack of Fetco frames from Kohl's marked down from $19.99 to $8 fits the bill. Since Evelyn arrived last year, the idea of family and what that means has become so much more important. The 14-Day free trial from Ancestry.com, normally $12.95 per month, is allowing us to explore our family's roots. Jen loves yoga, so the 10-Day free trial to the Gaiam Yoga Club, normally $19.99 per month, was a great find. And a subscription to Whole Living Magazine for just $3.76 from DiscountMags, full of healthy recipes and green living tips, is definitely right up her alley. Of course, I absolutely cannot forget a card for Jen's first Mother's Day, and Cardstore.com has a great deal right now: one free card plus free shipping when you place your order by May 6, 2012. In the end, I spent $99.26 to make Jen's first Mother's Day truly special. That breaks down to $70.75 in the cart, plus $28.51 for shipping. Most of the shipping charges are for the flowers, which is unavoidable for a Mother's Day delivery. The other two shipping charges were for the photo book and t-shirt, both of which were free in the cart. The total value of this Mother's Day gift package is $384.57, and my total savings was 81.60% off.
