Barnes & Noble offers free shipping with no minimum purchase if you have one of their member cards (which often makes them cheaper than Amazon.com, if you only want 1 thing).
On a somewhat-related note, small-town brick & mortar stores which are part of a chain are often pretty good about getting a product from a neighboring store in the chain if they don’t have it in stock locally. It usually means only a 1-day delay before you can pick it up at your local store – with no shipping charge added (as one might get ordering from that chain’s website). Alternatively, your local store will confirm which area branch of that chain has the item, and arrange for the other store to hold it for you (usually up to 24 hours) while you drive there to pick it up. I’ve run into this at Radio Shack, Doc’s Drugs, and WalMart locally. It’s worth asking if your local stores will do this, especially if you don’t want to wait for an online order to be shipped.

On Quibids.com as of last night early morning today 12/4/12, they had totally free shipping & handling on their site which is auctions! I was quite surprised & very happy seeing that! It makes the WIN much sweeter! I won a few auctions & did the “Buy Now” option too & both were free shipping!
Of course with all of these websites they have built in the price of shipping into the product cost, but it still simplifies the checkout process and lets you see strait away what you are paying.
