When I was a little girl I soooo much wanted a new rooted hair dolly. They were quite the rage at the time. That ‘special’ Christmas of my 4th grade birthday I snuck downstairs in the middle of the night and found her under the Christmas tree. She came to bed with me. Thank you Santa! I will never forget that Christmas in my favorite childhood house in Golden Valley, Minnesota when Santa brought me my favorite present. After 56 years I still remember how that dolly smelled, with her pretty scarlet rooted hair.
Where’s Betsy Wetsy? I got mine when my brother got his coonskin cap and Lincoln Logs!
For me it was Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears & Cabbage Patch dolls. We also were lucky enough to have Colecovision & Nintendo. Santa was always very good to us & my favorite memories of my childhood are mostly from Christmas.
They forgot the Henry dog stuffed animal from Animal Fair. My sister had a Zippy monkey stuffed animal and we used to have tea parties. Of course the new stuff Santa gave us always got incorporated somehow.
