If you want to use the French Oven (or maybe the smaller casserole, too) at high oven temps (like for no-knead bread or a “Glorious One-Pot Meal”), LeCreuset will sell you a metal replacement knob — or take the existing black knob to your local hardware store and find a metal drawer knob with a screw the same size (which is what I did with my Lodge Color Dutch oven).

I need to win this set, I don’t care what color it is. I have many pieces of Le Creuset I have disposed of all my other cookwear except of one tefflon pan for eggs. I got a starter set for my daughter and now I need a set for my daughter-in-law. So, this set will be mine, mine I tell you!!!!!!
Once you relearn how to cook in them you won’t want anything else in your kitchen….except for maybe one tefflon fry pan for eggs…LOL

Best cookware I ever had, but lost
Every cook should own ONE piece of Le Creuset..REMEMBER THIS about the cookware…never ever put it on a high flame..this is high quality enamel, it will CRACK the enamel if left on that high flame or heat. When anyone uses my Le Creuset pot. I give the warning, you ruin it, YOU REPLACE IT and it has happened twice….I love making something that can be browned on the top of the stove , then put the pot WITH top, right into the oven to slow cook..like a stew , Osso Bucco YUM!
