#GivingTuesday at BradsDeals Raised Money for St. Jude’s

On November 27th, BradsDeals participated in #GivingTuesday, a new holiday movement focused on finding ways to give back on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Here’s how it all turned out.

$1,005 Raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

We provided a set of special #GivingTuesday promo codes for our readers to shop with on November 27th, with a promise to give $5 to charity for every purchase made using one of those codes. Our fans made 201 purchases from 32 different merchants using #GivingTuesday coupons. In a single day, with your help, we were able to raise $1,005 for charity!

We knew from the beginning that we wanted our fans to have a stake in who would benefit from the money raised by our #GivingTuesday campaign. We narrowed the field to five extremely worthy non-profits, highlighted them on our blog, and asked the fans to vote on Facebook. Our fans overwhelmingly chose St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and we’re excited that our donation will help to fund medical treatment and research for sick children.
