Is The iPhone 5c Worth The Upgrade? This Brad's Dealer Says Yes!

As a die hard iPhone user since the release of the 3g, I, like the many other iPhone fanatics, have remained on top of all the new updates and releases on devices and software from Apple. Having used the iPhone 4s for the past two years, I was apprehensive when the release of the iPhone 5c coincided with my time to upgrade devices. I had already had a technological taste of the new iOS 7 and was very pleased with the cleaner aesthetic, the control center, and the less robotic sounding Siri (with male option!), so I went ahead and upgraded to the iPhone 5c, which Apple stated has been designed to compliment the new operating system beautifully.

I went through AT&T's website to get my new device; after seeing the long lines out the door at both the Apple Store and AT&T Retailers, I figured ordering online with included expedited shipping would be my best bet. So after placing my order, I only had to wait 48 hours until my brand new pink iPhone 5c was in my hands. The activation process was simple and fast and within minutes, I was synching up my pretty pink phone.

The iPhone 5c boasts a colorful plastic casing, coming in options of yellow, pink, blue, green, and white. I was amazed at how seamless the plastic redesign was. The iPhone 5c construction is completely new; the production process starts with a single piece of polycarbonate, and is then lined with a reinforced steel frame. The device then goes through several protective coatings ensuring a durable and glossy finish. The result is a seamless and sturdy device that feels completely familiar and new at the same time.

Apple states, the key to a great device is the hardware and software working harmoniously to create a great user experience. The iPhone 5c with iOS7, in my opinion, is a match made in heaven. The colorful external color is incorporated into the device's software through the transparency of the drop down bar, passcode screen, and Control Center. Speaking of the Control Center, it might be my new favorite feature of this device and software update. With new features like Air Drop and easy access utility buttons (the flashlight is my favorite), the Control Center makes the iPhone 5c even easier to use than previous models.

In my opinion, the iPhone 5c has everything I look for in a smartphone and apple device. It is intuitive and easy to use, it is lightweight yet still sturdy, and, let's face it, it just looks awesome. The only downside, in my opinion, is there is not (yet) a white option for the front plating of the phone. Aside from that, I give this device two thumbs up. I would highly recommend anyone upgrading from the 4 or 4s to head to an Apple Store (if you can make it through the door) and test drive this great device.
