Amazon is upping the annual fee for Amazon Prime from $79 to $99, effective 4/17. If you haven't signed up for Prime, start your Free 30-Day Trial by 3/20 and you'll be able to switch to a full 1-year membership for $79 once your trial is up. Existing Prime members won't see the increase until their annual renewal rolls around. If your renewal is coming up before 4/17, you lucked out, because you'll be getting your next year at the lower rate. Amazon Prime members get free 2-day shipping on all eligible items, video streaming through Amazon Instant, and access to free Kindle books through Kindle First and the Kindle Owners' Lending Library.
