Go to Roku.com then select this this bundle to get a Roku HD Streaming Device along with 6 Months of Hulu Plus for free. You also get an HDMI Cable. That's the best bundle deal we've seen from Roku. If you haven't tried Roku, you should strongly consider making the investment. I own one and am a huge fan. I spent $80 once on the Roku but it has replaced my significant, ongoing cable bill. I spend $7.99 for Hulu Plus and $7.99 for Netflix each month - which are delivered directly on my TV screen via the Roku device - and don't miss cable. Shipping is free though sales tax is charged in most states.

Colleen Johnston — Absolutely agree with this write up. I dropped my $115 Directv monthly bill and only pay $16 a month for Hulu Plus and Netflix. Because I also have Amazon Prime, I get their movies for free, too. Super easy to hook up. Most of us get our news on the internet now, no need to pay for cable or satellite anymore.

Rich Wilson — Hulu is another streaming service like Netflix. You can get an idea of what's available by going to hulu.com On your PC you can watch all Hulu content. To watch on your roku or other device, you need Hulu+ which is $8/month (but also gives you more content and newer content). I have a Roku and we like it a lot. Mostly my son watches kids shows on the TV, but there are tons of other channels available. It's also great for specialty content, e.g. if you like classics, or Kung Fu movies, or westerns, or Bollywood, or various religious content, there's a channel for pretty much anything. Some require a monthly fee, others are free.

Rich Wilson — Sorry, I missed the "Does it also give you internet access" NO! It REQUIRES internet access. You'll still need high speed internet from your ISP. And you'll need something with decent bandwidth, and watch monthly caps. I used to have a monthly cap of 100GB, and I went over that with both normal internet usage, and Netflix/Hulu streaming. Now I have a 300GB/month plan and no danger of going over.

Rich Wilson — It depends on whether your Internet Service Provider has a monthly cap. Some don't, some do. If you have a cap, then yes, anything that uses your internet can make you go over.

Jmbrowning — Any information on how you can catch your local sporting events, i.e. MLB? I heard you can purchase an MLB package but heard that they block your local team. I would love to do this but don't think we could miss watching our local team!

Rich Wilson — I'm not a sports fan (at least not american sports), but from what I've read in the forums, it's more team related than anything. That is, the team sets the blackout. If you can watch your local team now on TV, then you might using the MLB package on the Roku. Looking at this: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?&c_id=mlb&affiliateId=mlbMENU#blackout it looks like the same blackout restrictions apply as to any other TV coverage.

Soundfreq1 — Keep in mind you can still get your local programming off the antenna. You may need to invest in an antenna depending on your signal strength in your area. And, if you still have a standard definition TV (tube) then you will need a digital to analogue converter. Remember, over the air TV is digital now. But, if you have a digital TV then you dont need a separate converter. So, you may be able to watch baseball the old fashion way, free.
