Rungirl — When I bought these Macy's raised the sales tax amount 3 different times. The last time was after the pruchase was completed so there was no way to back out of it.

Kathy — RE the Macy's Ralph Lauren towel special: I purchased a bunch of towels from them and didn't use the Brad's Deals code to get the added 10%. I instead used the code EXTRA and got an additional 15% off. HOWEVER...in doing this online, the Macy's site computes INCORRECTLY the 15% amount!! BEWARE!! I called the toll free number on the Macy's site BEFORE I HIT PLACE ORDER...and they have a live chat person who pops up to see if you want assistance...so I clicked chat...and asked about their erroneous computations of the 15% off. After explaining what I was finding, JANE R. clicked "END OF CHAT SESSION". I called the toll free number then and spoke with a man who basically didn't want to address that, but then offered me 20% off to basically go away. While I accepted his offer, he said he would report the "problem" to his supervisor. When I finished the call, I again computed it and he was wrong as well with his 20% computation. I again called back and talked with "DESIREE" who looked over the prev. mans' work and said there was indeed an error. She had her supervisor go over the figures and it was then corrected....Wow..shame on Macy's for keeping that incorrect computation of savings on their site. I suggest anyone using that to call the toll free number to place the order and double check their figures as to what the percent should be for discounting. Unsuspecting people are not getting what is promised.

mamabear26cubs — Just placed order, and had to call because the discount calculation was wrong - it wouldn't let me have the towels at 2/$5 plus the 20%, but the rep adjusted that. Also, that same code should give you 15% off of most other items on the website, but their computer doesn't calculate that discount correctly, either. So, do your math! They will correct it if you call them, but the first rep I talked with, put me on hold for 30 minutes, and never came back on the line. The second rep was very helpful.
