Jackie60130 — Okay at first I was really excited to get my book and couldn’t wait to start reading it, but once I read the Travel section I was really disappointed. Not only was it super boring but it gave me a headache. Brad those tips are from 2009 and who has the time to and money ($1600.00 at the Hyatt) to gather all those frequent miles. I moved on to the shopping-and besides the phone tip, there was not much there? Or at least nothing worth buying a book for. So I only glanced at the financial portion, really not much there at all. All these real life samples are your experiences for 2008-2009. Since then the U.S has gone through a recession and most of those tips are not applicable or at least work paying $10.25 for a book. This really should have been called Brad’s Chronicles and how I made $10.25 by selling a book of war stories

Brad from BradsDeals — hi jackie, i'm sorry you didn't enjoy the book. you can't publish live deals in book form. they'd be gone by the time the publisher printed them! each section (travel, shopping, finance) was broken down into an introduction, examples and "how do i do this myself." in travel, one example was from 2009, some were earlier, some were later, some were 2012. but that isn't the point. the point in the "examples" section was merely to show what is possible. again, this can only be done by using past deals. then, in the "how do i do this myself" section, i break down how you can get setup to accomplish many of the same things in the future. if there was truly only one thing in there that you liked, the phone tip alone saves you $1,500, which clearly covers the cost of the book!
