Happy February, Brad’s Deals readers! It’s getting colder in the Midwest and on the East Coast, so many of us are looking for a flight out of town. If you’re in the same boat, check out these three budget-friendly February vacation spots.

Temple ruins in Cancun

Cancun, Mexico

Cancun, Mexico is a popular vacation spot for Americans any month of the year, but it’s a
particularly great deal if you go in February. Not only do you miss the holiday rush, but you beat the Spring Break madness, saving you money (and sanity) in the process.

We ran the numbers and found round-trip tickets for less than $250 on full-service carriers like American Airlines and United. Even cooler? Four star hotels can be had for less than $90 per night, so you can travel in style on a budget. ShermansTravel is a good place to start looking for Cancun travel deals.

Do note that food and drink can be a bit expensive on resort grounds, so budget this in when planning your trip. However, we still think the trip still makes sense if you factor in just how cheap the hotel and airfare is.

Miraflores in Lima Peru

Lima, Peru

Heading further down the Americas, Lima, Peru is a great option for anyone that wants a
tropical cross between a beach and city vacation. You can find tickets for less than $500 round-trip on budget carriers, and spend under $150 per night for a solid five-star hotel – check out the deals on Be sure to check out the Miraflores neighborhood for great food and beaches!

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Want to head to South-East Asia instead? We’re seeing tickets for under $800 round-trip on full-service American and Asian carriers between the U.S. and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Once in the city, you can find four-star hotels for well under $100 as well as well-priced meals and souvenirs. Expedia is good place to research the best Vietnam travel deals.  Just be aware: it often reaches 100F in the winter months!
