The Chase Slate Credit Card is the best card on the market for paying off high interest credit card debt. With 0% Intro APR for 15 months on all purchases, no fees for balance transfers and no annual fee, the Chase Slate Card can save its users a lot of money on interest. As a Chase Slate cardholder myself, I can say this is one of the best cards in my wallet. Here's why below, but you can Click Here to Apply.

There’s no intro balance transfer fee - Learn More

This can save you hundreds of dollars on interest if you do it right. When a new Chase Slate cardholder transfers a credit card balance to their Slate card, there is no balance transfer fee for the first 60 days of card membership. For comparison, most cards charge between 3%-5% for a balance transfer, which can really add up. This is currently the only card in the marketplace that offers fee-free balance transfers (for the first 60 days).

You’ll pay 0% Intro APR for 15 months.

Once you transfer a balance, you’ll have 15 interest-free months to pay off the amount you transferred before a 13.24%-23.24% variable APR kicks in. Even if you don’t transfer a balance, every purchase you make on this card within the first 15 months is also interest-free.

There is no annual fee.

Being a Chase Slate cardholder is completely free, and not just for the first year. There is no annual fee — ever — for the Chase Slate card.

Other things to love about the Chase Slate Card.

In addition to its ability to save you hundreds of dollars on interest payments, the Chase Slate Card offers free monthly FICO score reporting, no penalty APR for late payments, fraud protection on all purchases, and it was named the best card for balance transfers three years in a row by MONEY Magazine.

Why I’m a Chase Slate cardholder.

When I was a graduate student, money was tight. Being frugal is important to me, and I worked hard to keep my expenses at a minimum while I was a full-time student. Unfortunately, there are some things you can’t budget for. When a medical procedure cost me $2,000 in out of pocket expenses, I had to put it on my credit card.

Luckily, I knew about the Chase Slate Card. I applied for the card and when I received it, I conducted a free balance transfer that allowed me to pay off my medical bills over 15 months. It worked flawlessly, and I’m proud to say I didn’t pay a dime in interest payments, all thanks to the Chase Slate Card!

A few caveats.

The main issue you might encounter with the Chase Slate Card is that the free balance transfer offer is only available for non-Chase credit cards. This means that you won’t be able to take advantage of the 15-month 0% intro APR offer if you have a large balance with another Chase card, like the Chase Freedom Card.

Also, if you’re looking for a credit card that earns rewards points, look somewhere else. The Chase Slate card does not have a rewards program, so you won’t be earning any points for your purchases. There are also no travel or emergency service benefits with the Chase Slate card.

While it might not boast the cash back or travel benefits of other popular credit cards, the Chase Slate Card saved me hundreds in interest payments at a time when I really needed that extra cash. In my opinion, it’s the perfect card for anyone who is looking to get serious about paying down their debt, interest free.
