Summer has finally arrived, and it's finally time to take that summer vacation! If you've procrastinated, Disney World is probably sold out and jam-packed the week you were planning to visit. Here are some alternatives for some fun June vacations.

1. The Caribbean

Yes, technically it is hurricane season, but early season storms are rare, and if they do occur, rarely powerful. The Caribbean in the summer is hot and steamy, but it is their low season, with resorts that normally go for $1,000+ down in the low $300s. The Park Hyatt St. Kitts, a brand-new resort, has a "4th Night Free" deal going on right now, with nightly rates hovering around $300. Included is a $300 resort credit per person, per stay. Book on Hyatt.com, and be sure to use one of our recommend credit cards for international travel.

2. Krakow, Poland

I visited Krakow, Poland last summer, and fell in love with its perfectly-preserved square, rich history, and enlightening day trips. The food is ultra-cheap, too, and filling. Most branded hotels can be had for under $100, which you can book on Expedia. Flight deals can still be found for Europe this summer, especially on ultra-low budget carriers like Norwegian.

3.  Las Vegas

Las Vegas is very cheap in the summer, due to the heat. We've even shown readers how to get there for $1. With hundreds of thousands of hotel rooms and hundreds of flights a day from all points in the US (and the world), we recommend Sin City for a cheap weekend getaway. In June, rooms need to be filled and the city discounts them heavily. If you can travel mid-week, you're paying $20-$50 a night for your room (plus a pesky resort fee). To save money on the ground, consider status-matching a hotel program to a gambling program (Wyndham Rewards to Caesar's, or Hyatt to mLife). Basic status levels in either program will get you waived parking fees and special perks in the hotels.
