Do Not Buy from BuildDirect!!!
1) Many products made in China and do not meet current top standards (i.e. engineered flooring does not meet 2009 standards).
2) BuildDirect based in Vancouver Canada, meaning that when your product has an issue (even when supposedly covered under warranty) you MUST travel to Canada to pursue them
3) If you do have an issue, you have WAIVED your right to sue BuildDirect in small claims court by the Terms of Service of their website.
4) If you have an issue, you have agreed that the dispute will be settled by an arbitration organization that BUILDDIRECT chooses (hmm guess who the arbitrator has a vested interest in supporting)
How do I know this? Because BuildDirect sold me flooring that was determined by a certified flooring inspector to have delaminated due to "manufacturing responsibility" (inspectors words), but BuildDirect refused to honor their 25 year structural warranty.
