Cookbooks
Cookbooks are one of my favorite gifts to receive. After becoming a mom I love them even more because I can get meal planning ideas by just opening a book and randomly selecting a dish. Here are a couple of the best-selling cookbooks so far in 2022, as well as some personal favorites!
I Dream of Dinner (so you don't have to)

A book title has never spoken to me more. I Dream of Dinner (so you don't have to) by Ali Slagle is a collection of low-effort recipes for busy moms that still want to feed their family a home-cooked meal.
A Good Day To Bake

Written by The Great British Bake Off's 2016 contestant, Benjamina Ebuehi, A Good Day to Bake focuses on the therapeutic comforts of baking. Enjoy 70 delicious recipes and clear, easy-to-follow instructions for each.

Half Baked Harvest Super Simple

An Instagram favorite, Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest serves up some of her best quick and minimal-ingredient recipes in her Super Simple cookbook. I treated myself to this cookbook a few months ago and make the Thai Ginger Steak Salad and the Creamy Chicken and Gnocchi Soup a couple of times per month.
Grandbaby Cakes

Chicago's own Jocelyn Delk Adams released her first cookbook, Grandbaby Cakes, in 2015. A collection of sweet recipes inspired by and passed down from her grandmother and other family members, this 50-recipe cookbook is perfect for the mom who loves baking cakes with love.
Mastering the Art of French Cooking

If you know a mama that can't get enough of Julia on HBO Max or The Julia Child Challenge on Food Network, get her a copy of Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking and let her try her hand at some of the famed chef's most loved recipes.

Mambo Sauce

Capital City’s Mambo Sauce was created in the suburbs of Washington D.C. by Charles and Arsha Jones as a delicious alternative condiment to ketchup. Originally only sold in-person at stores in the D.C. metropolitan area, we’re lucky enough that it is now available to all of us on Amazon. This sticky, tangy sauce comes in Mild or Hot & Sweet (or pick up the 2-pack to try both!) and can be used as a glaze, a marinade, wing sauce, or on the grill.

Kitchen Gadgets
If the mama in your life has a little wiggle room in her kitchen storage, there are a lot of unique kitchen gadgets out there to make cooking and prep work easier.
Charcuterie Board

Does the lady in your life love a good nosh and use "art-cuterie" as a creative outlet? If so, a bamboo charcuterie board would make a great Mother's Day gift idea. A 9x13 charcuterie board is a great size and you want to make sure it's made of hard, non-porous wood like bamboo, teak, maple, or acacia. Slate and marble charcuterie boards are also beautiful but read the reviews because some can stain very easily.

Citrus Squeezer

This one is a suggestion from our managing editor Casey. Squeezing citrus juice from lemons and limes can be a chore when you're in the middle of a recipe and this citrus squeezer makes it a breeze. I just added it to my own wish list for Mother's Day gifts!
Digital Thermometer

A digital thermometer is a must-have for meat lovers. Whether you're grilling, pan-searing, or roasting, a digital thermometer is the best way to get an accurate temperature reading for the perfect doneness and safe food consumption.

Silicone Baking Mats

For bakers, the scariest thing is having our delectable baked goods stick to the cookie sheet and ruin all of our hard work. Reusable silicone baking mats are non-stick and cut down on parchment paper waste. The Silpat Perfect Cookie Baking Mat is an excellent Mother's Day gift idea for bakers.

Conversation Spoons

A set of conversation spoons is a unique gift for food-loving mamas. This gift set from Xenia Box allows you to choose from over 30 quotes and your set can be comprised of four identical spoons or choose four different sayings.
Appliances
If you're looking for a splurge-worthy gift for a splurge-worthy mom, here are a few small kitchen appliances to consider as Mother's Day gift ideas for moms who love to cook.
Blender

A high-quality blender is a life changer for a home cook. It's great for smoothies and milkshakes, but the absolute best use is to make velvety, smooth soups. Vitamix blenders are a customer favorite and will make smooth and creamy sauces, juices, soups, and more with ease.
KitchenAid Mixer

A KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a great gift for moms who like to bake. Moms can make cookie dough, bread dough, frostings, whipped cream, or even shred chicken with this multi-purpose mixer.
