Holiday shopping has started! We’ve been tracking the hottest toys for 2023 and these are our must-have toys for kids. Take a look at the best toys of the year from Amazon, Target, Walmart and more.

Best Doll Toy: Barbie Dreamhouse

Topping our holiday toy list for 2023 is the newest Barbie Dreamhouse. We’re not sure if it will drop under $179 during the holiday season, but we’ll be checking the Black Friday price at Amazon, Walmart, and Kohl’s. For a totally splurge-worthy gift, check out the Deluxe Barbie Dreamhouse at Target and Walmart. Don’t forget to pair with the limited edition Barbie The Movie Doll!

Best Stuffed Animal: Furby

Our pick for stuffed animals goes to Furby. This animatronic stuffed animal won the award for 2023’s Hot Toy of the Year. This new version has over 600 responses and can interact with other Furbies when paired together. We’ve been seeing the best Furby deals at Amazon and Walmart

Best Vehicle: Air Hogs RC Car

For the kid who loves cars but has too many Hot Wheels, we recommend the Air Hogs RC Car. This remote-control car is the best toy of 2023. Unlike a regular RC car, this one is air-powered which enables it to climb walls and race across the ceiling! You recharge it with a USB cable, and kids as young as four can maneuver it.

Best Learning Toy: Education Insights Talking Microscope

Looking for a fun, educational toy for younger kids? This Educational Insights GeoSafari Jr. Talking Microscope is the #1 best-selling microscope for kids. Suitable for kids under eight, it comes with 60 slide images and teaches kids with fun facts and quizzes. It’s voiced by Bindi Irwin and has won numerous toy awards.

Best Collectible: Pokemon Trainer Boxes

Our best toy list wouldn’t be complete without Pokemon cards! The most popular collectible this year is the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Elite Trainer Box. We haven’t seen it on sale yet, so we also recommend this Pokemon Obisdian Flames Trainer Box that occasionally drops under $40.

Best Interactive Toy: Magical Mixies Genie Lamp

This new Magical Mixies Genie Lamp release is one of the must-have toys of 2023. Kids can release real mist from the genie lamp, which reveals a plush interactive toy. Last year’s Magic Mixies Cauldron and Crystal Ball are still top sellers this year. These toys retail at $65, but we like that you can get other versions of Magic Mixies for around $20, like the Magic Mixies Mixlings and Magic Mixies Surprise Cauldron, which works the same as the original cauldron but reveals a non-electronic plush toy.

Best New Toy under $10: Minverse Make-It Ball

If your kids love Mini Brands, then Minverse Make-It Ball is the gift to get! LIke Mini Brands, this is a surprise ball that contains mini food items. But in this version, you can actually unpack and open the mini foods to create and display a completed dish!

Best Outdoor Toy: Sharper Image Laser Tag Attack Pack

Laser Tag is always a best-selling holiday toy, but the Sharper Image Laser Tag Attack Pack stands out because of its great reviews and affordability. It comes with everything you need for a two-player game.

Best Building Set: Lego 3-In-1 Creator Sets

There are dozens of Lego Creator sets, and we love them all! These Lego 3-In-1 Creator Sets are different from a normal Lego set because they come with instructions to build more than one item. In this Lego 3-In-1 Creator Dinosaur Set, you can choose to build a T-Rex, Triceratops, or Pterodactyl. Later on, you can rebuild it into a different one!

Best Ride-On Toy: Flybar Bumper Cars

Last but not least, we say opt for Flybar Bumper Cars. Designed for kids 18 months to four years old, these indoor ride-on cars will be your go-to boredom buster during cold winter months. They also come in character themes like Cocomelon and Spiderman.
