Summer is upon us and we've got all the tips for snagging everything on your summer shopping list for cheap. Find out where to shop and what discounts to look for to ensure you're getting the best deals this summer.

Apparel and Accessories

If your warm-weather wardrobe could use a little help, here are some tips for getting deals on summer clothes and accessories.

Sunglasses

Joma Shop and Proozy have a wide range of sunglasses from a variety of name brands. Rue La La and Gilt are both great resources for designer sunglasses. Lindsay shares, "I am seeing pretty decent savings on sunglasses, I'm talking up to 75% off, or more!"

If you want to get the newest and trendiest sunglasses, shopping sitewide sales at Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, or Neiman Marcus is also a good way to save.

Summer Clothes

In general, big sale weekends will see pretty decent (up to 50% off) sales. You’ll see the biggest sales if you wait until August, but you can still get some discounts now. Don’t expect to save more than 20-25% on newer styles before end-of-summer sales.

Kid’s Summer Clothes

Kohl’s and Macy’s are both great for stocking up on name-brand kids' clothes. Carter’s also has up to 75% off several times throughout the summer. You can also get great deals at the Gap, J. Crew, Hanna Andersson, and Primary.

A smart tip from Linday is to, "Stock up on multiple sizes and leave the tags on, being sure to check the store’s return/exchange policy." This works well at stores like Carter’s where buying larger sizes in advance of the season is a big money saver.

Home and Outdoor Living

To get your home ready, inside and outside, for hot weather and fun in the sun, here are tips for getting deals on home and outdoor living summer essentials.

Pool Toys and Accessories

Kohl’s, Target, Walmart, and Amazon are all great places to save. You can actually save on pool toys if you wait until July. Right now, 20% is a good discount. In July we may see sales on pool toys and outdoor fun at up to 40% off.

Grills

It's best to wait until summer is over. If you desperately need a grill now, you can find a few styles on sale at Lowe’s and Home Depot, but you may not get the brand you desire. Target is also a great option that many people forget about when it comes to deals on grills.

Costco and Sam’s Club are also good options if you need a grill now and are a member.

Patio Furniture

We are currently seeing the best sales at Wayfair, Tanga, Walmart, and Target. Some sets are up to 50% off. End of summer sales may see better discounts.

Check on shipping times though, because some places aren’t delivering for 8-12 weeks, which means you may miss summer patio season with your new furniture!

Beach Towels

Kohl’s and Macy’s have great discounts and you can snag some for as low as $5-$6. But if you want something higher-end, check out Horchow, where you can save 30% on a selection of name-brand towels.

Fans & Air Conditioners

Wayfair is great for fans. We are also seeing Dyson fans on sale at Dyson and Bed Bath and Beyond. For AC units, check out Best Buy and Home Depot. You may not be saving more than 20% or so when shopping during the peak summer season.

If you're looking to save more, it's worth checking into refurbished units at stores like VM Innovations, Amazon, or Walmart.
